Portrait of a writer | Loudoun Photographer

October 27, 2010

My dear friend Steph, who I’ve known for 18 years now (I can hardly believe it!), is a writer and blogs at Encouraged in Heart. I had the recent opportunity to capture her wonderful smiles for both professional headshots and for images she can use on her blog and in published writing. I’m sure you’ll agree, Steph really is a picture of a modern Christian woman, with her contagious smile, her cup of coffee, and her Good Book. I had a great time photographing her, we had lots of laughs, and the time passed entirely too quickly. And now I’m sharing her with you …

This is my favorite, because to me this is Steph

I love how the sunbeams are shining down on her and the Bible

You ROCK THE HOUSE Gwen!!!!! Thank you SO much for beautiful pics and a beautiful post! I agree, the time went too quick (as I sprinted off to get Cal) and 18 years…we still look like college days! 🙂 Thanks for sharing your talent to my benefit, I’m very grateful!

Thank you for this article. I particularly like the picture of Steph in front of the PINE tree–everlasting, constant, enduring–growing and flourishing–with a beautiful aroma, that is who she is to me in Christ!!!

Yes, the pine tree was totally appropriate!!! I will never look at a pine tree the same after Steph’s vision.
